As our fall sports seasons come to an end, it’s time to look forward to the start of winter sports! Credo has three sports which start on November 3rd. It’s a huge success that our coed dance team is coming back for its second season, which is being coached by Devin Sullivan. This year will also be the 3rd year of boys and girls wrestling, coached by Daniel Bietz. Winter is also Basketball season! There is traditionally a JV and Varsity team for girls, and a Frosh, JV and Varsity boys team. Joining sports is a great way to make new friends and something amazing about Credo is how you don’t have to have any previous experience to play a new sport. Winter Sports registration is still open so sign up now!

Credo’s Girls’ Volleyball, Girls’ Soccer, Boys’ Soccer, and Cross Country have had a strong start in the 2025 fall sports season. This year, the volleyball team started with many injuries, but as the season continued, they have rounded out their skills and positions. According to Coach Dublin, the volleyball team’s spirit is the highest he’s seen in his 7 years of coaching, and the team currently holds a positive match record.
Girls' soccer has taken the lead with a 7-3-1 season score, winning 6-0 in their September 29th game against Point Arena. Team captains Reilly Fay, Addie Bleasdell, and Aidyn Cresalia-Clark have led the team to win four out of the five most recent games. The Varsity Girls Soccer team plays against Technology High on Wednesday, October 15th; go support them at their game!
Led by team captains Noah Lambrecht and Elijah Gottlieb, the Boys’ Varsity soccer team is playing at one of the highest levels in our school’s history, according to Athletic Director Paul Lambrecht. Currently, they are heading into the second half of the league season.
Lastly, Cross Country has had a strong season so far with leadership from Captains Anya Besack and Owen Carey. The team has had breakout performances from freshmen Ainsley Curtis, our new school-record holder, and Magnus Figueroa, according to Coach Buckley. Thanks to Michael Dublin, Amy Gallagher, Carlos Colon, Hannah Basset, Naima Bolles, Nathan Swift, Paul Lambrecht, Nicholas Buckley, and Robert Church for coaching our fall Varsity sports teams. Go support your fellow Gryphons!

This year, Credo has its first-ever JV soccer team! Credo High has many amazing aspects, and one of them is the inclusivity of its sports teams. They never make cuts, so everyone has a chance to try new things and learn a sport. Historically, Credo’s girls' soccer team has performed very well, but there has only ever been enough girls to form one team, until this year. This year, they finally had enough tryouts to form a JV girls’ soccer team, and they are doing great! They had their first game against Lower Lake High last week. It was a tough loss, but they fought well and held them at 0-1.
On another note, the JV boys’ team is undefeated! Their most recent game against Summerfield High School ended with a 1-0 win with freshman Van scoring the only goal in the game! Their next game is on Friday, October 3 against Sonoma Academy.
Way to go Gryphons!
